ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH FRAGGING YELLOW LEATHER TOADSTOOL

    I have a large yellow leather toadstool that is outgrowing its spot in my tank.I would like to frag it if possible,but I don't want to kill it!Thanks for any suggestions or help.Rob

    I have read you need to use iodine on the area where you cut it, but I have not done this myself.

    depends on the leather, if it's a yellow with yellow polyps they usually frag pretty good. If it's a yellow with white polyps they usually don't frag well unless the water and lighting are very good. It's kind of a hitch because the white polyps usually don't come out until the leather is under high lighting. it's a gamble, if you take a pair of scissors and cut into the leather like a half an inch you can usually tell by the leathers reaction.
