I think it was Cherry Corals at Fall Fest were highly suggesting this salt as I had mentioned I has some mysterious acan deaths while using Reef Crystals.  I just got a couple 200 gallon systems in today and just made my first 5 gallon batch.  To be honest it's a total PITA to mix compared to RC's.  It's actually 4 parts, 2 of which are dry and the other 2 liquid.  Therefore you need to measure out 4 separate things, compared to just scoop and dump like I used to be able to do.
The nice thing is this salt is pretty much ready to go right after you mix it.
I am not expecting to see much of a change as far as livestock goes but if I suddenly have SPS tips shooting out of the water and polyps splitting all over the place I will certainly let you guys know.  /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/tongue.gif

I know Sone used it for a little while. But I think he switched to something else now.

I used it for awhile and decided I was going back to Red Sea Coral Pro. However, they recently improved the formula so I didn't want to be a guinea pig so I am using RC for the time being.

When I used the salt, I didn't really notice a difference at all. Coupled with the PITA measure and mixture, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. It might be for some people, just not me.

I use it and have for 5 months now. I love it and don't think I will ever go back. I recommend it to everyone. I bought a food scale to make measuring it all out very easy. Its awesome how it mixes clear in minutes and will not sting corals.

I have really been debating using this salt as I live in an apartment and space is a premium. This would keep me from having to have rough totes or buckets of water mixing all the time taking up space as I could just mix up what I need every week or every other week as needed for water changes. Another advantage is for the smaller reef keepers as I read that they give you the measurements to use for mixing up as small amounts as 1 gallon.

The whole "mixes in minutes thing" was a good selling point to me until I realized I still needed to actually make 5 gallons of RODI water and let it get up to temp. Unless I can streamline this process or I see a miraculous change in my tank I think I may go back to RC just for the convenience.

I read about it on the Stonyreef blog.  I've been wanting to try it out I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.  I like the idea that it is ready to go right away, but I've got a 25g mixing tank so its really not a big deal to mix saltwater (I usually start it right after my water change and use it the following week).  Besides having it ready right away is there really any big benefit?  According to the article you avoid some of the issues of residue in the dry mixes.

Hmm, the convenience or appearance of convenience is what has been appealing to me about this system.  But, wouldn't you have to make the ro/di water anyways to mix with the RC?Why do you have to make 5 gallons?  I was positive that I read you can mix up as little as 1 gallon at a time with the b-ionic system.

The directions do show how to do 1 gallon at a time.
