I think the DIY 2 liter bottle trap will be too small to catch this fish I need out, he's about 5" long or so and at least 3" tall.......I hate to spend $45 for one at Marine Depot and they're backordered at Fosters and Smith until the end of July-   This fish is driving me nuts :)

Get a small barbless hook and a worm.

I always hear that recommendation, but has anyone actually done it?

I actually made a super small hook from a sewing pin and a pair of needle nose pliers.  Worked for me.

Something tells me that no matter how much Fawn is upset with the fish, she won't resort to the hook option. /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/wink.gif Might be time to buy a little sheet of acrylic and make yourself a fish trap Fawn! I think Jeremy built himself one a while back, maybe he can give you some design tips.

I was actually thinking of the other Jeremy, but you're closer...  I'll be heading to Missouri this weekend and I'll be going right by Fawn's house.   I'm not sure if it will be on Sat or Sunday, but either way, I would be willing to help transport the fish trap if that would be helpful.

    Hey Fawn,
Jeremy gave me that fish trap to bring your way so I'll drop it off sometime this weekend...probably tomorrow.

Thanks so much! I've been so busy with my hubby being sick, that I didn't even see this until just now.......thanks so much! I'll see when Lee can come get him, then I'll try and catch him and get the trap back asap. You guys are the best /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif
