any know how to cut the wings on a cockateel ?

    was wondering if any one new ho wto cut the iner wings on a bird so it cant fly to hurt it self thanks

    Have you tried Googling it? It's not difficult, just spread the birds wing and look underneath and you'll see long flight feathers and shorter feathers. You cut the longer flight feathers off just past where the shorter feathers end.

    i just dont want to hurt my bird i hate to clip them but thay say its makes the bird not hurt his self

    I used to clip them on my parakeets when I was about 12 years old. It's not difficult at all. If you are afraid of hurting them, just don't clip them very much. (they can't feel it anyways).

    It might be helpful if you saw someone doing it first. I think just about any petstore that sells birds does it for a small fee and you could watch as it is being done.
