Well, the in progress 25 hasn't even seen a drop of water, and we decided that since we had a brand new 90RR AGA, we might as well set it up.  The 25 is still going up too, and they will be plumbed together at some point.  The 25 will be used to keep a couple of small fish, and soft corals (zoas & rics), and the 90 will be the SPS tank.
Yesterday I got a box of Eco Rox (dry base rock from www.bulkreefsupply.com).

We've been working on a stand for the tank as well.  The stand will hold both the 90 and the 25, with a 75 for a sump.
The lumber, right before we got started:

We soon discovered that our saw wasn't going to cut it:

Hopefully this weekend we'll be able to finish the stand, get baffles put in the sump, and start filling it up with water!  I'll add more pictures after we make some more progress.

I had a great surprise today! I got home from work and discovered that Max had finished putting the stand together! I'll take some pictures later, and post them. We're finally getting close to adding water!

Got the first coat of stain on the stand. Man those fumes are powerful... /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/shocked.gif It will need another coat of stain tomorrow morning, or possibly tonight, depending on how fast it dries, and a clear coat or two over that. After that's all done, and dried, it's go time! We'll need to make doors at some point in the future, but it won't be a problem to bolt those on when we get them done. I'm so excited that we're finally close to adding water!

Pictures to come tonight if all goes well. I have a work party that I have to go to, but hopefully that won't take too long, and I'll be able to come home pretty early to mess with the tank. We decided to add sand, even though all along we had been planning to go BB, so the water is REALLY cloudy. I've got the dry rock in the tank, and still need to add the live rock that will go in there to seed the dry rock. The sump needs a few more inches of water before I can turn on the skimmer & return pump. Hopefully once the sump is full, the skimmer will help pull some of the sand gunk from the water column!

    Filled it up!
The stand is ghetto - first ever woodworking (if you could call it that...heh) project, but it's level, and I'm proud of building something! :)

Early March 2008 - filled it up w/ water, sand, rock.

So I can't figure out how to take a decent picture of this tank with my little Cannon digi-cam...here's some evidence of my pathetic attempts. Seriously crap photos, but it's all I've got. Lighting is 400w Helios 20k in Lumenbright reflectors - it isn't anywhere near this blue in person. It's like crisp white/blue, not overwhelmingly actinic/blue! So anyway, some little SPS frags on dirty rocks... These photos are April 2008ish.
    this might be ORA Roscoe's?
