Anemone

    My anemone was the size of a baseball nearly, and now this morning it's oral disc is the size of a cd? It decided to get really huge and move next to the thermometer.what's up with my anemone?

    If it is a RBTA it may be hungry. They swell up & spread out to catch the sunlight for their zooanthella. This also gives them more of a chance to catch prey. They absorb phytoplankton with their tentacles & any bits of food that come along they will grab & bring to their mouth.

    Try to feed it a few small sized pieces of meat. I usually use mysis, krill, or scallops. Smaller then pea sized is best.

    k, thnx I usually feed it and it doues fine. It curls into two seperate parts and then a whole anemone hours later
