From what I have heard, it depends on what type of clownfish you have. Different clowns are prone to host different anemones. I have a yellow stripe maroon clown and he loves his bubble tip anemone (BTA). I think most anemones are a bit difficult to care for, or so I have read. However, the BTA seems to be one of the easier ones and my clown loves it.

How long has the tank been set up? What lighting do you have?

I have a pair of maroons that currently host 3 different nems the favorite is a sebae one sleeps in it one sleeps in a rainbow Bubble tip they both feed and take care of Rose, Rainbow and the sebae. Which they hang out in most of the time. In my other tank I have 2 percs that won't host any anemone they have been in the tanks for over a year. The only nem I haven't had with the perks is a carpet and I don't want a carpet but I think that is what percs host naturally. So depending on what type of clowns you have might make a difference as to what nem and I don't think there is any guarantee they will host any
