Algae?

    Hey all. I have some algae forming in my tank...it looks purple to me but not neccesarily like coralline, almost looks like a dusting of it and it seems to be forming on the floor and all the seals towards the bottom. this is a bare floor tank with the bottom painted black.. if someone could tell me how to post a pic i will put one up. any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

    No not at all but maybe i am catching it at literally the beginning. the picture of the mag float in my profile is exactly how it all looks now.

    cant really tell by your profile picture but my guess is it is coraline but it is difficult to tell without pics.
