Air, Water and Ice Customer Service

    I bought a Typhoon 3 and an undersink with pressure tank from these guys about 6 months ago or so.
    The Typhoon I hooked up right away, easy, no problems, makes great water.
    I finally got around to installing the under sink one, and the *filter* part of it was easy, but I want to meet the guy that mounted my kitchen sink down a dark alley some night real soon.
    Unfortunately, most likely while in the loving hands of FedEx, a fitting had cracked, and the under sink filter leaked.  I dropped AW&I an email with a description written by a man who had his arms up to his elbows in plumbing all day and wasn't in the best mood.  Even with my cruddy description, they immediately sent off all three parts that may have been effected, free of charge to me.  You just can't really ask for more than that.  They had mailed them by the time I got out of bed the next morning.
    I got the parts, installed them, and am loving that undersink model.
    Then, all of maybe a week later, my Wife got her foot caught on the drain line for the Typhoon, and knocked it over....cracking a fitting.  She took a cell phone picture of it, emailed AW&I, and exact same deal; part shipped out immediately, no cost to us.
    I remember when I was a Kid, we had this thing called "Customer Service".  I was sad to see it die.  It's really, really nice to see somebody who actually still does it right.

    When I read the title of your post I was hoping it was going to be positive.

    I too have had extremly good service from them.

    Not only that, but they have donated hundreds if not thousands of product to the club over the years.

    AWI is awesome. I've also have excellent customer service experiences with them and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of an RO/DI unit.

    +1 I've only purchased from them once so far, but it was a great experience.

    I bought a typhoon 3 a few years ago and never had a problem so when I deceided to get back in the hobby I went with them again, I had a probem with my auto shutoff and they sent a replacement right away no questions asked.

    Same thing with me, except the unit that I had was second hand...I wasn't even the original purchaser and they still replaced it free.  I really didn't expect them to do that, but they really stand behind their products.
