How old do my black and white clowns need to be before hosting the RBTA? I think they're about 8-10 months old. They've only been "exposed" to the nem for about a day now, so I'm not getting impatient, just wondering...

AHHH! I can't wait that long! haha
Hopefully being trapped in a 6 gallon tank will force them to meet.

Yea! I'm almost positive we talked about it when you had your AGA at the shop to get drilled.
Either way, here's the link. I haven't updated it in a while, I'll have to get to that.

It took my percs well over a year to find my sebae. One day, they just moved in all of the sudden and they haven't strayed far from it since...

I've had a pair of maroon clowns for about a week now. One hasn't left the anemone much since it started going in there a few days after bringing them in there.

Have a pair of percs and a rose bubble. Bought the percs when they were approx 1 1/2 - 2" and it took them 6 mos to a year to find the anemone. But like jb said too, now they won't leave it!

I dont think age has much to do with it so much as luck does. I have seen percs go right to a nem before where others would rather be hosted by a spec on the glass..

There are some tactical approaches for this problem. I will feed the anemone and not the fish for a couple of weeks, they start going to the anemone for food and begin to catch on pretty quick.

WOW thats a great idea Andy.  Way more realistic then the tape a picture to the side of the tank approach.

They must have heard me talking about them, cuz the larger(not sure if it's a female quite yet) started hosting about 10 minutes ago! I'm so fricking happy right now! I was studdying, not sure if I'll be able to get any more studying done tonight though!
Sorry the pics are pretty crappy, my droid takes HD video and great pics, but LEDs are really hard to "capture".
    Here's the empty RBTA.
