I am getting a acrylic tank that i would like to put a couple baffles in. Where can i get some weld-on 16 and acrylic for this? Is there a certain way to do this?

Depending on the size of the baffles, I may have some scrap that I can cut up for you. Cheaper than buying it from Regal or anywhere else for sure.

You can do WO16 (or Craftics #33, both of which I have) but the problem is getting the baffles cut so they fit in right and then the bonding actually seals the gap. WO16 is not a gap filler. Existing acrylic sumps are not the easiest thing to bond a baffle in to, because of the warping and/or hardening of the material.

The best thing to do is to get the baffle shaped so that it fits in the place you want it snugly but not too tight (which could be hundredths of an inch difference), you can do this by sanding and scraping pretty easily. then wick in WO3 or WO4 (the water-thin stuff) and put weights on it to keep the joint together, let it sit overnight. Then you have the baffle hard bonded in place, but it might not be water-tight, as this is rather tricky to achieve (just ask Matt/ninja - his sump looked great, but one baffle leaks). Then follow it up with bead of silicone on either side of the joint. Silicone won't bond to the acrylic enough to create a pressure-safe joint, and it wouldn't hold the panel in place by itself as the walls would bow over time and pull the joint apart, but if the baffle is hard bonded, silicone will seal the joint so water won't get past it.

Hope that helps. I have all the solvent you would ever need, and depending on the size of the baffles, probably the acrylic too. Or Mike might have a few scraps too.

How much would it be for a couple of pieces? it is a standard 75 gallon tank.

I don't know at this point, I'm completely slammed on all sides busy right now it'll be next week before I can even think about it.
