I just got all my AC3 stuff.
    Talk about intimidating!
Do I drop the probes in the sump like I would a heater?  Or do they need to hang in there with just the tip wet?
I am sure I will have more questions as I start setting it up.
    Thx
    Craig

Hey craig, are you gonna be home later? I am gonna be out and about, I could swing by and give you some pointers.

As far as the probes, you really only want the tips in the water and be sure they stay wet.

I should be home after 5:30 if you want to come out.

Then you can give me another set of eyes to catch any mistakes.

It does seem like a lot at first, but it really isn't that bad setting it up once you have played with it a little bit and understand how the programming works.

Use the Neptune forum on RC they provide a lot of support there for questions etc.

Thats where I go when I have a question...
I can post my program for you if you want to get some ideas from it....just let me know...

I would be interested in seeing your program if you wouldn't mind posting it. I have been trying to think of more ways to utilize my AC3.

Has anyone ever tried to do the web hosting feature where you can view your prams online. I have alway wanted to do this but not sure if I understand what I need to make it happen. Also, is anyone using the email notification function.

Joe, its pretty simple to view your acIII online. Rather than hijack Craigs thread I'll make a new one.

So you have 17 sockets that equipement plugs into if I understand it correctly?

If you look at the list above...There are 17 items shown...

    I have 2 DC8 (each has 8 sockets) for a total of 16.

TZ1 & TZ2 my two Tunze pumps are plugged into the Aquasurf (wavemaker) module so they do not use any sockets. You will notice the addresses that are E01 and E02. (E denotes the device address, 01 and 02 denotes the socket number)

ALM is an alarm timer that is just in the software (no physical device) to trigger certain events. You will notice the address for the Alarm is G02.

The DC8's use A and B for there addresses the number behind A or B is the outlet number on that DC8. SO if the address is A05 that is the 5th outlet on the first DC8....if it B05 that is the 5th outlet on the second DC8.

To answer your question there are only 14 things plugged into my DC8 outlets.

Let me know if you need more help understanding.

    Einsteins,

That is impressive! I went to your website...now that is cool. Is your website an actual registered domain name? Will I be able to do the same thing using the www.dyndns.com free account. This is really interesting to me.

    Thanks
    Yes...I have owned www.einsweb.com for about 8 or 9 years I think...
Dyndns is a service that gives you a webaddress that will always point to your dynamic IP address that is assigned by your internet provider.

You would still need a web address to host your controller information.
