Well today was a first. I got stung by my lionfish while cleaning the tank.He didn't come after me...I just wasn't watching good and bumped into his dorsal fins. What a new feeling this is.Bled then the pain started. Still hurts sometime later.I read that hot water will de activate the toxin, I also soaked it in vinegar when it happened.Smarts like crazy and my finger is swelling a little but hey...I'm still walking upright!! LOL

dang, that's part of why i keep a dwarf lionfish, it's a smaller object for me to avoid. but i really hope it doesn't happen to me some day.

Lee, It gets rosy minnows. That all he will eat. Well the swelling went down quickly after the hot water soak.Guess it works! I just hope it doesn't start iching like a bee sting would.Glad I'm not allergic.
