A little house cleaning

Hey everyone,
As most of you know, we do our best to allow the board to be self
moderating.  We have some guidelines, but unless things get out of hand,
we typically just let things go.  Unfortunately, due to us being so
relaxed about what we allow, this has allowed some people to behave in
ways that impact the cohesiveness of the club.  When behavior starts to
damage the club, it's time to act. 
Over the past year, we've had a few situations where a couple of people have been responsible for creating drama on the site.  The people that I refer to are not guilty of doing this just once, but have shown a pattern of disruptive behavior.  I don't feel that it's fair to the club to allow this to continue and these people have been warned about their behavior.  If you hear about a person or two getting banned as a result of being disruptive, please understand that it was done as a result of repeat offenses and in the best interest of the club. 
To date, we've only had to ban two people in the entire history of the club.  This is not an act that I take lightly and only use this as a last resort in cases when we feel that not doing so would lead to even more damage to the club.
If you didn't already get a warning from me, you're not impacted by this, but it's always a good thing to keep in mind when posting on the site.  Let's keep things positive, respectful and let's all try to get along.  It's a great hobby that we all enjoy.  Maybe you don't see eye to eye with everyone on everything, but at least we can all appreciate the reef tanks that we keep and hopefully that gives us enough common ground to get along.
