It seems finding a low priced aquarium stand for a 38 gallon Acrylic custom made fish tank is proving harder then it first was thought to be... ive checked pretty much all of the local dealers and they want between 140-175 for a 36" stand... Does anyone know where i can find a 36" stand that has an open bottom for aqueon #1 sump placement and possibly drilled out surface for easy of access for my plumbing?
I would (as always) greatly appreciate the input!
    thanks!-Ian

You could bribe someone to build it depending how soon or fancy you want it...

Yep - I agree with others that have posted. I too found it quite challenging to find 36" stand. I just built (my brother and I) a 36x24x30 stand. He has some connections for the wood...but his cost alone was $150 for wood, varnish, doors, hinges, trim, etc. You could go the 2x4 route as well and cut expense considerably. Mine was hardwood to match office decor...I also had 2 doors on each side of the stand so I can have easy access front/back. The doors added to the expense. Just some input from my experience.
