2 near new XM 400w 10ks

For sale or trade 2 near new XM 400watt 10ks. Used for a few hours, aquired in a trade. To yellow for me, but I have little actinic lighting. Asking $85 for both or 1 new Ushio 400watt 14k. Or 1 new XM 400watt 20k. Dont want to split them up yet because I may run this on RC Drygoods Trading Forum.

I may be interested. I have two 400w ballast laying around, and just aquired a 150 gallon tall tank about 30" deep (same as the 4'x2' 120gal; but taller). I was thinking about going with t5's on reflectors... and had not asked the question or seen what others would recomend for a tank this deep. But this seemed to me as if it was a good deal for two lamps. The XM's work on mag ballast?

 

Yes they do. I have XM 20Ks on a PFO magnetic ballast.

I also use a pfo m59 magnetic ballast. Do you have Actinics? The 10ks are pretty yellow without it. They do have the best coral growth rate and keep nusance algae at a minimum. Make it a Ushio 14k and Ill throw in a couple of frags! Will try to post a pic later...

to bad you weren't running 250w i have 2 ushio 10ks that are barely used, and a couple ballast too

I think i'm going to go ahead and make the deal. I can order a lamp for trade, or I can just pay you. Your call. I have a couple T5's i am going to be running for actinic suppliment and i thiink these would work well. I will pm you too.
