    Hi All
I told some of you at the tank tour last week that I would post a link to Bill Wann's 17,000 gallon reef tank project in his new home.
the thread is around 40 some pages but if you have not read any of it I would suggest that you start at the beginning and spend some time reading it so you can appreciate this huge project.
    Enjoy!!  http://thereeftank.com/forums/showthread.php?t=90861

I've been following Bill's posts since before he got kicked off of RC. It took me a while to find his tank build but I finally found it again a few months back.

WOW!!! Is all I can say about that! Sounds like he's pretty open to showing it off as well. Maybe we could get a club tour of that bad boy! Plus then we could race his ferrari's down the road! /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Wow that's a really cool tank too!  Talk about a TON of fish and some really rare ones at that!
I'd still like to sit in one of Bill's Ferraris though!  /site/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/cool.gif

He is already planning his next tank....a 25,000 gallon octagon in a rainforrest type atrium. He has his engineers doing the structural calculations already.

His preliminary budget for that tank is at 750,000 dollars.

building a 17K reef is sweet but doing it on someone elses dime even better

Wow, that guy may make for a good speaker. He would have plenty of frags to bring as well.

Good point! He would make a good speaker. Might lay the ground for a behind the scenes tour too.

I finally had the time to sit down and read through most of this thread.  I had started reading it once upon a time at RC but of course lost it when it was shut down.  It should be interesting to see if we get to see it with some water in it.  I would think that selling the house might change those plans.  I almost felt like I was watching a soap opera there for awhile!  I was glad he decided to move forward when he did.  Waiting for the next posting!

I read that Bill is no longer going to be posting on his tank anymore. It appears that some people were saying things about his ex-girlfriend(he has a lot of respect for) and he didn't like it. It's a shame that people have to say stupid things or question where he gets his money from...

It's a shame that there was so much drama in that thread. I talked to Scott(Spazz) and he said Bill should be moving into the house next month or March at the latest. He also said the tank isn't far behind so it should be done soon. He doesn't have any recent pics but I'll try to get some from him when he goes out there again.
