I want to upgrade and my question would be if I got a 125 would my main floor in my house hold it on an interior wall with it going paralell with two beams? My 90 is currently on four beams but the 125 wouldnt fit. My beams are 2x8s I believe under my floor.

I used to have two 75's and a 55 on one wall.

Not knowing your exact floor strength, I dont want to say yes no problem at all.

What is supporting the floor in the basement?

    Wow,

Sound pretty strong. If the basement isnt finished, you can even add more support right under it.

yes i would love to finish it but live in the country. Just busted up the floor, tiled and put 2 sump pits in myself. But my thinking is I would never go downstairs if I moved it down there. It used to get alot of water in it and it hasnt been tested because of dry weather. Id love to have a 180. It also has a metal floor support too.

I currently have 2 ais on my 90. Would 3 be enough for the 125?

Most will say it depends on the corals you're keeping. Would certainly provide enough to see the tank well.

Sounds like that floor should hold a 125 maybe even a 180. Could always ask a structural engineer to come look. Maybe Bud, Turbo Aquatics, could help out on this one. 3 AIs should be enough over a 125 as I am thinking it is the same as my 135 with 2 center cross braces. So an AI per section should be fine. Distance above the water would be the factor for coverage though. I know AC&C sells them so they might be able to help out with those better than I. I am still using Power Compacts that need replaced badly.

    Should be sufficient.

A customer with a 125 said the 3 we sold him are doing a great job at 40% power.

Right now I have 2 AI over my 180 and a HOT5 on the center. Can't afford the 3rd fixturequite yet. I know Ray has 3 over his 125 and I saw it in person yesterday and it looks fantastic.

I am using 3 AI's over my 125, at 40% everything looks great.
