Ordered myself an All Glass 120 (4x2x2) reef ready from Anemones, Clowns, & Corals. Now I need to sort out what other equipment and goodies I am going to need to get it all set up.
My current tank is a 40 long with no sump.  So not much will be used except the fish, coral, and rock.
Stand - I will be making this. Anyone have the dimensions of the tank with the trim included. I'd like to get started this weekend.
I kept a couple things from a 90 gal setup I bought, if they won't work for the 120 I will sell them.
    30 gal ? (36x12x17) sump with 3 chambers
Eheim 1260 return pump - Don't know if this will be large enough for the 120?
My lighting is brand new, 4 bulb Tek T5  48" I know it won't be ideal long term, but I am hoping it will be adequate until I can upgrade. I really don't have much for corals at this time. Some softies and a few LPS. What lighting should I look at for the future? I would like to stick with t5s, or possibly go LEDs. But i'd like to hear all opinions.
Skimmer- I just have a HOB reef octopus right now, definitely will be buying a new skimmer before the new tank is up and running. Whats everyone's recommendations for an in sump skimmer?
Flow- I have 2 MP40s I bought from AJ. Those should do pretty good. If not I have a few Koralias I can throw in there if I think I need them.
Heaters- I just have the ehiem jager from my 40. I'll prob just get another bigger unit to add unless someone has a better option.
automation - probably won't happen right away, but I would eventually like to add something.
That's the basic list I can think of right now. What am I missing?  I'd like to hear everyone's opinions and recommendations. What would you guys use if you were setting up this tank?  I'm still a noob to the hobby so any help will be greatly appreciated.

you could use your 40 as a sump i have a 40b with 4 chambers the 4th holds 5g of ro water for ato. for your return i would go with a mag 9.5 or 12.  skimmer i would look at the octopus's to start cant go wrong. i would figure out what skimmer and sump your going to use before you build your stand. for your lights 8-10 bulb if you want a fixture teklight or ati powermodule  if your building a canopy you could do a retro fit. thats my 2 cents.

I considered using my 40 as a sump, but being the same length as the new tank (48") it would take up basically all the area in the stand. I may consider getting a 40Br for the extra room and volume over the 30 I already have.

What model of Octo skimmers should I be looking at? I'm not too familiar with all the different designs and the advantages/disadvantages of each.
