My old 48 inch 8 bulb sunpower was 30lbs. According to the packing label. I would guess it close to 35 pounds for 60 inch. My halide light is 40lbs.

I just use toggle bolts to hang mine. If you want get a nice piece of wood and put hanging cables in that and screw the board into rafters.
