I did some research.

No purple tangs are currently being imported. Homeland security has banned all cargo from that area of the world.

Hence the price of all remaining Purples have gone through the roof.

I want a Gem tang for $50! All kidding aside, good luck with finding your fish. You could buy that one fish for $100+, or buy a few fish for the same...

i just got super lucky and landed a REAL nice healthy one for $60!

 

I paid $160 for mine.. Well kind of I traded $160 in frags ;-)
