I've been looking everywhere online, they just seem to be "out of season," I've been talking with Hong too about getting one, and no luck so far the past couple of weeks. Anybody have any ideas? I'll have to shoot Craig a PM too. Anybody have one they want to get rid of? lol

is it true that the pink tails are the most reef safe trigger? I have heard that from several people

Yeah I saw it, I was there this week too, I gotta deresa clam and a couple of banggai cardinals! /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif I talked to hong about getting one, and he went to chicago sunday night and didn't find any at his supplier (which i think is blue fish). We'll see what happens next trip he makes in a couple of weeks, but I'm just obsessed with the blue throat!!!!

From what I can tell, they've been safe with sps and I've even heard a couple of people who have had clams! I really hope that I can get a small one and keep him satiated with food, and get him trained not to eyeball any other things in the tank. But yea from everything I've read they are suppose to be reef safe most of the time. It always depends on the individual, and you definitely have to take care to feed well to keep a fish happy, as to not tempt their curiosities.

I hope they eat mushroom corals too! lol Just as long as it stays away from sps and my deresa. Maybe it will eat RBTAs! That would be great, I can't get em off of the rocks and I can't get them to stop multiplying. I have 7 clones from 1 RBTA that I got last july! hahaha

Yeah the 120 is probably too small, especially in the long run.....but I'm going to put one in my 120 anyways lol. I think the big thing about stocking a tank is 1.) keeping fish fed and happy 2.) maintaining behavioral compatibility 3.) maintaining water quality. If you can do these things well, then I think you're entitled to push the envelope a little bit. I mean, nobody should get obsurd with it, and I would certainly like to have a 6 or 7 foot tank for my swimmers to bound across. Someday.

Petco...... no. lol Sorry I worked for a large pet establishment for 6 years and there might be a few good employees here and there, but from the top, those people don't give a **** about the quality of their fish.

Armydog the reason i'm waiting tell i get my 220g up is because i already have a absurd amount of fish in my 90g.

Yea u do Bill!!! lol Which is what inspired me to add more fish to my 120! lol Plus I have a new SRO 3000 to handle the load.

I might be interested in seeing that trigger mcfadden, is she well behaved? I kind of wanted to start with a juvenile so I could bring raise them myself, but I've gotta few tricks for breaking old fish of bad habits.

BTW for anybody interested in learning more about this genus of trigger fishes: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-05/hcs3/index.php

If you are still looking for blue throats, there were a male and female at davenport aquatic environments this past saturday. They were pretty young so you'd have a chance to grow them up. Maybe call to make sure they are still there.

Yeah if I could ever pry them off the rocks they're stuck on, I have a line of people around the block! I'll put you on my list.
Bill has like 30 fish in his 90! they're all smaller guys but still!!!

There was a male and female bluethroat at Aquatic Environments in Davenport. They are smaller (young) but did look very healthy!
