Yea... i know this is a really well done and very detailed drawing, so i hope it can help you to i.d. this fish
i was told it was a candy stripped wrasse, but i cannot find info on it... so what is it?
it is a very skinny fish but very long. it does not have the usual shape body of a wrasse.

    perrtty!

My lfs has a really odd hybrid wrasse i like for $60. Its hard to pinpoint the potential species mixed, but its a near pink and purple color.

Now that the back of my tank is covered, im ready to keep at least 3 great wrasses, one being a mystery, a blue star leopord, and mayeb an orange back fairy. I've never really cared much for wrasses, but the Omaha area is wrasse wild! We have a nice selection down here and i think the prices are some of the best ive ever seen in any state. That striped wrasse i drew earlier, was selling for $40, most online places wanted over $70 for it!

Just noticed John Coppolino had one in his tank years ago.

Scroll down a little more than half way.

Perhaps its a Peppermint hogfish (Bodianus sp.)??

Definately a differnt fish. The one i was looking at is super long and slender, which is why it was so appealing to me.

I just looove looking at those tanks of the month! Makes my heart pitter patter!

That's a good looking wrasse though! Damn Scott W. Michael, when is going to come out with the Reef Fishes Volume on Wrasses and Tangs? I have the whole collection so far!
