Would this be easier?

    I must have cross contaminated because my 54 reef is now showing signs of ich. Would it be easier if I took out my LR and inverts, put them in my 75 which is fallow and will be for 6-8 weeks, and do hypo in the 54 DT. I think that would work. What do you think? I also have a 36g half full of LR so I have the room.

    You don't really need to move anything but the fish. Without the fish, the ich will die off in your DT because it cannot complete its full life-cycle. I would just QT all your fish for 6 weeks and treat them while leaving your display running like normal.

    I agree I would catch the fish and treat them in a quarantine tank.
