UV

So i picked up a UV stabilizer today from Coral Haven, problem im having is the fittings are to small looks like my lines are atleast 1" what should i do? I hate messaging with water lines.

 

What uv sterilizer did you get. Most of them that I have seen are ran off a separate pump or a valve ran off a main line to reduce flow

If it's the big one the 36 watt you can cut back the plastic to the threads and then screw on 1 inch pvc fittings make sure you use something on the threads I used alot of Teflon tape them glued a 1 inch to 3/4 inch adapter in the 1 inch fitting than put a 3/4 inch hose barb on it work very well you could always put unions on it to

So i got my UV set up today, My split in my line is right off my pump, so only 50% of the water through the pump is ran through the VU, so im goin to play with it from there

 

Did you have any problems putting on the pvc adapters
