Toadstool question

 Three days ago my toadstool closed up. It has not even tries to open. Everything else in my tank looks good. Now it had closed up before for a day or so but never this log. Shaould I be worried. It is not wilting or even changing color it is just closed. Any Ideas?

 My params are : PH 8.0 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 phosfate 0 calcium 390 and Alk 300 temp 80 to 81 and SG 1.026

 

I have had mine close up for several days. When I first got it it closed up for better than a week. I wouldn't worry. On a side note, 8.0 is a little low for pH. If I remember correctly, sea water is 8.5 FWIW.

Sometimes mine does it every month or so and starts getting a layer of slime on it. Then it sheds a layer of skin and grows back bigger and better after this each time.

 

mine will close up for awhile right before or after it splits and drops a frag for me

 

thats just part of their behavior

 

isnt the alk quite abit low?? How about Mag?

 

Just to let people know it has started to open up again. It got this slime like coat that it shed off and seems to be coming back better than it was before. thanks for all the help and advise, Shaun
