Yeah, I broke it again with my latest update. I have a fix about 90% done, but I ran out of time yesterday. I should be able to get it working again tonight.

It might be hit and miss for a few days as I work through some of the details with additional functionality. Thanks for being my guinea pigs.

 

Hopefully it's working again now. Added support for a bit more of the tapatalk API ...

I was in the middle of a post in this thread. It read:

"I am able to see, read, and reply to things again. Yay! - Posted via Tapatalk"

As you can see, that post never made it. I get an error when hitting submit:
"Failed to connect to the forum, please check with the forum administrator if this problem persists."

and then I get a box that says "Processing..." and the spinning circle.

So I can see and read at least...

Just so you don't have to go back and look, I am using an HTC Rezound with Android 4.0.3

I'm new to taptalk, so maybe this is a dumb question. My default view is set to "Latest". When I go to other forums (Turbo's, RC, etc) the most recent posts show up, but none show up on GIRS. The "All" and "Participated" catagories display only a ballon and "No Topic" on the screen.



Is this a bug or a feature that is still being working on?

That feature has not been enabled yet as far as I can tell.

 

Tapatalk should be working better on android now...

I have the Tapatalk "Unread", "Subscribed" and "Participated" views mostly working on my test site. Just need to clean a few things up and then I'll deploy it to the site here.

Probably sometime this weekend.

 

Ok, I just deployed a major update to the tapatalk module that includes a lot of new functionality including:
- Unread topics
- Subscribed topics
- Participated topics
- Latest topics (timeline)
- Mark read (topic, forum, all)
It also includes the following bug fixes:
- Unread topics were not being calculated properly
- Special characters (å, è, ï, ø, û, etc) where not being encoded properly when posted from tapatalk
I'd appreciate it if all of the tapatalk users could give it a try and let me know if you find any problems.
Note that you may have to completely restart your tapatalk client to make all the new stuff work right as it will need to reload the site config.

I'm loving the updates. The best is the "unread" items are now in bold. Of course, having "favorites" work is great too. Bonus is that I can still post without errors. Thank you SOOOO much for the continued work on this.

I'm going to keep working on it until most of the major functionality is working. Hopefully I be able to get PM's working via Tapatalk soon.

 

Seems to be working fine now. No more apostrophe problems. Sweet!
