I am looking at redoing the aquascaping in my tank.  When it was setup before it had the rock just "thrown in" as I do now.  What are your thoughts, I am open to constructive criticism. [IMG]  My tank is a 6 foot, 150 gallon tank. I was thinking about making 4 islands, 2 small ones on the end, 2 large ones inside those.  I have two tank inhabitant reasons for this setup.  First, my engineer goby is driving me nuts always spitting sand onto the area where my frags are, and maybe he would just stay under one island.  My clownfish will not allow me to put any coral anywhere close to the anemones, so the left 1/3 of my tank is not housing coral.  An island would help segregate the anemones from everything else, and hopefully get the big clown to relax a bit.

No pro on aquascaping by any means but I am a fan of the non linear look. breaking it up into islands is something i like. I tend to leave 3-4 inches of space between my rock and all 4 sides just to allow room for cleaning and gives a little more swim room for the fsh and coral placement

My personal opinion is that it looks pretty good the way it is. The only thing I would say is like Mthomp said leave so space between the front and sides so that you have room to clean glass. Don't know about you but I am obsess with making sure the glass is always clean. The 3-4 island idea is cool too. Just my 2 cents.
