I'm redoing my boat and I know I've seen people talk about starboard on this site before. I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some in the Des Moines area.

I bought mine at Regal Plastics. I still may have some. What size are you looking for?

I like Midland Plastics, they stock it as HDPE.

I'm probably going to need a 4x8 sheet your leftovers may work for @DangerJ@DangerJ

    I need the standard 75/90g footprint :) 48"x18"

Corner overflow but I can cut that out.

Is starboard a desirable alternative to plywood for a stand? I've been planning my stand for an acrylic tank and had been considering using two 3/4" 6x4 sheets of plywood. I know starboard is quite a bit more expensive but are there any other downsides? I assume it should still be sealed or is it okay without any additional treatment?

Starboard is typically used inside the tank, as a protective barrier for the bottom of your tank.

Regal in DSM now has something like a $75 minimum and a $7.50 processing fee for any order. Plus, they're super rude on top of that...
    Midland is much friendlier

Midland was very friendly I emailed for a quote and within an hour had someone call me. Just for everyone's knowledge they quoted me a 4x8 sheet 1/2 thick at $180. Not bad in my case because I'll never have rot issues with my boat ever again!
