Rotifer culture

So, my snowflake clowns recently started laying eggs and I would like to try my hand at raising them. I need to get a rotifer culture going. Does anybody around the Cedar Falls area have a rotifer culture going already that I could get some help from to start one up? Thanks for any replies!

Hey John- The Assesors are doing great! They have been very active in the tank lately which is strange! Also thanks for checking at the store.

Vikubz- I have not figured out what I should do for phyto yet... what methods are you using and what do you think would be the best route for me?

Well, I cultured phyto for a while and now I have the Rotifer Diet from Reed's Mariculture. It is a highly concentrated blend of nannochloropsis and tetraselmis algae which can be frozen. The rotifers love it! Go on youtube and you can see pics/videos of people's setups. All you need is buckets, air pump and phyto. Craig has lots of experience with clowns and has helped me out a ton. Also, definitely order a rotifer sieve. Worth it!

 

Did you get what you needed Tang23? There are plenty at the store, I checked them out today just before I fed them, nice and active!

Hey John and vikubz! Thanks for the replies. Sorry I have been working all day. I have to work 12 hour shifts the next 2 days it sucks!!! John do you think u would have time to get me some rotifers in the next couple of days? I won't get off work till 6pm the next 2 nights
