I just installed my Reeflo Goby, and there is water coming out of the motor shaft area from the volute. It does this running or stopped. Any suggestions? I need this to work by Wednesday, January 12th. Dang it! It's also a lot louder than I expected. Anyone have  any experience with the noise level of these pumps?

Is this a new pump?  Have the seals ever been replaced.  We had an issue with one of our pumps leaking and it was a case of the seal being put in backwards.
As for noise we have found that placing a piece of rubber, we got an inner tube from an old tractor tire and cut it into the size pieces that we wanted, under the pump helped alot on the noise.

It's a brand new, just out of the box pump. I have a mouse pad under the pump, and have the pump securely mounted to a plywood shelf that is securely built into a cabinet.

I would call customer service IMMEDIATELY. You either have a bad seal or a defective pump from the sounds of it.

Customer service is closed until Monday. Another good plan goes down in flames! I guess I'll just have to deal with this down the road and hope my old pump continues to do the job....

I emailed the owner, and he is going to send me a seal replacement kit on Monday overnight USPS. I guess that's the best he can do. Still, it's a PITA to have to do it.

Your luck sounds a lot like mine! I hope you get it figured out.

    Good Luck

Has anyone replaced one of these seals? I'm not really very confident about doing it. My preference would be to have them send me a replacement pump. I purchased a working pump, not one in need of immediate refurbishing.

Just wanted to report that Chris, the owner of Reeflo I think, is sending me a new pump to replace the one I bought. He's also sending along the return UPS tag for the old one. As good as I could hope for. Nice to know that Reeflo is a company that takes care of their customers.
