My Rio 2100 is having issues and I think I may need to replace it. I have to fiddle with it to get it to restart and it is a PITA. I've had a Mag 9 before and always had issues with it starting up again, even when it was new. What are y'all using with good results?

I think I would just get another Rio for the money. I have had a few of them, and have usually had good luck with them.

Looking at prices and I think that is what I will do. When I thought about it, this one has run 3 years without issue until now.

if you want something comparable to a Mag 9, I really like the water blaster pumps from Reef Octopus, or the Sicce pumps are great too

I run a Sicce 5.0 for return and 2 reactors very happy with it and it's almost silent even have the flow restricted a bit

I run a wavelike DC 12,000 pump.it is super quiet fully controllable and fully adjustable. Also with the DC pumps you don't have the heat issues they make them in different sizes too.

I run this pump on one of our tanks too and it is the quitest pump I've ever had.
