Next time a fish gets in my overflow I am going to make this mini sized fish trap made out of a small water bottle that will fit in the overflow. So far I have been lucky and my wrasse has not jumped back into the overflow.

Thanks for sharing! I surely could have used this about a month ago. It would helped me and a rose goby get off to a better start :)

It's a simple design/concept but traps like that are fairly successful. Ive had good luck using ones like that made from a clear 2 liter bottle to catch larger fish in the display tank. Put some food inside of it and then sit back and wait for them to take the bait! :D

I have used a large one I have made too. Even though I had made a large one and used it, It never occurred to me to bake a small one out of a water bottle or that it would fit into my dual overflow until I saw this video.

I have used that design to rid my tank of Bristol worms. Throw a piece of shrimp in it sink it in the display. In the morning it will be full of the prickly ba******
