My best friend has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma. [IMG]  She is at least at stage 3, but until they take the tumor out they wont know how much it has spread.  I'm putting myself in charge of doing at least one fundraiser for her. Anyone have experience  with this?  Im thinking church chili dinner, then maybe karaoke at a bar some other day. Anyone have some good ideas?
She is a single mother of a 2 1/2 yr old, however she lives with her fiance...... not that that makes any difference

    That sucks

Let the internet be your friend.

Stuff like that does really well on Facebook. Get something rolling, pictures of her & her kid together.

    Good luck

Im sorry to hear that. When we had a situation like this we rented a uaw or vet hall for about 200 bucks and had a taco dinner, karaoke. had a few folk donate some items and did a silent auction. We also all shaved our heads was $5 a head I think we made 200 bucks off that.

Man that sucks. A friend of mine that I went to school with and also is a member of our church has brain cancer. She needed a very expensive operation and did a fund raiser on facebook and got alot of money towards the operation. So Facebook will deffinetly be a good place to start.
