It's been awhile since I have been involved in GIRS, now that there have been changes in the site, do you still post pics the same as before or is there a new process in doing so?

I guess I will just see for myself.

    Thanks

I honestly don't know if there is an answer out here for this. I have continued to post my pictures of my build under my old post. There is a new place to post pictures in your gallery. I think it really depends on the reasoning behind why you are posting them.

I don't think people aren't trying to be helpful, I think we are all just trying to figure out what is the best way.

Creat a post then post it. Now edit it right away. You can use the attachment button on bottom. Other wise use a hosting place like Photobucket and copy the picture HTML code and paste to you post.

Its same a before some what with posting pictures. The Avatar is another story.

Or just use the "Insert Image" button that's on the toolbar.

No need to make it harder than it is.

Yeah that has never worked for me JB. I will try it again

I think the question here though is, should we be posting photo's of our tanks in OUR GALLERY, or be posting in the hobby related forum....

That's how I read into this...

OK so on you initial post its at bottom. Attachment then image insert. Still getting use to new site.

Reefman, how did you do it before?
I have always used the attachment button at the bottom of my post, works for me. I have not had a problem posting pics, on the new or old sites.

The insert image button works fine. All you need is the image source URL. For example: "http://www.somewebsite.com/someimage.gif"

    • Click the Insert Image Button.
    • Paste the URL into the "Image Src" field
    • Click Ok
As for where you can upload images, that's a different issue. You can upload them to an external site like photo bucket or you can upload them to your personal photo galleries here on the site. It really doesn't matter.

If you're hosting photos on photobucket or similar, all you have to do is copy the direct link and then click the little picture at the top of the post window and paste in the link.

Just did 3 pics, by using the Gallery. Very easy.

As the site changed, I was wanting to see if posting pics was the same using the Photo Bucket or there was a different process...

    Thanks
