Where can I get the net tops or covers (what ever they are called) for the aquarium. Is there anyone on here who makes them?? I have a 40 gallon breeder

Bulk reef supply sells them. They're kind of a DIY type thing, but it's not hard at all to make.

Yup, BRS has it. You can also find bird netting in the garden section of the big box stores like Lowe's or Menards. Not all of it is suitable so you'd need to make sure it will work for your applications.

I've made them for my tanks. Very easy to make. When you come for your frag, I can show you how. I bought netting from Earl May - works well. Very large piece. I can give you a piece to fit your 40g breeder.

I am on the same page as BECKERJ3....

I went to Home Depot and bought the frame and everything I need. Then went to Earl May and got the net I liked. Works great on my tank and looks great with my tank.

I have plenty of screen left if she ends up not being able to help out.

I bought my netting online somewhere (I'd have to dig up the link) but it is about 1/4" squares with a clear netting/mesh material. Looks really nice and doesn't block my light at all. Of course I haven't picked up the frame yet. Simple window screen or screen door frame for less than $10 would do it, but I need to decide if I want one large 4'x2' frame or two smaller 2'x2' frames. Anyway, that is neither here nor there. There are a number of local options that you could pick up, but they are pretty much a diy thing, but an easy one.
