My wife and I went to MACNA today, and it was great! I EASILY got the price of admission back in food, t-shirts (I'd suggest getting a size larger if you aren't sure), magazines and supplements. Plus, we got to visit with people we've only seen or read. I spoke with Julian Sprung several times, met the Bulk Reef Supply video guy and Mark Callahan (Mr. Saltwater Tank). Visited with Roger Vitko from Tunze USA and with George from Reef Geek. Spent time talking with the people from AI and got to look at their awesome new product and their new low Sol prices ($399). I got to see the faces of people I've only known by their handles here, and saw a few old GIRS friends too. Plus, I got to see amazing fish, corals and equipment.
If you're on the fence about going to MACNA, jump over the fence and get there. We had a great time, and didn't even realize that we walked and talked right through lunch. You'd really hate to miss this. I'm probably going back on Sunday. We had a great time.

I second everything that was said. The food tonight was sooo much more than I expected. Not sure why icexpected less but it knocked my socks off. And three drinks? Awesome!

    Can't wait for more tomorrow!

I totally agree. It was amazing to see SOOO much in one place....corals, fish, equipment, toys, speakers, etc...the display tanks are amazing. And..everything went so smooth. The planning and work that preceded the event.

Yep, we *easily* made back what we spent on registration in the great food, the awesome and abundant freebies (and we also won a bucket of salt), not to mention being able to chat with world-renowned aquarists, authors, divers, photographers, vendors, etc.= totally and completely worth it /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif I feel so lucky that we were able to have such an awesome event right here in our own back yard; THANK YOU to all who had the vision to bring Macna here and to all who put in the hard work to make it happen!
