My first nano cube

I bought myself my first 12g jbj nano cube today. I just got done taking down part of my 55 and transferring things to the cube. I am now just waiting for the water to clear up. Right now there are no corals. I have two blue yellow tailed damsels in there. Aprox. 10lbs LR. As of right now I don't have powerhead in the tank just using the stock pump from the rear chamber. Thinking about getting a maxi Jett 600. I have an aqueon 950 but I'm sure that's way to much, also it's way to big. I won't be running a skimmer on this tank. I would love any feedback, tips, hints, and criticizing you can think of as again this is my first future reef tank. Oh also what do ou recommend to run in the three rear chambers. As of now I'm just running 5 bio balls and carbon

I had the same cube for six months. Its a good product but algae in it is hard to control. By not having a skimmer I would keep the livestock to just two small fish maybe a shrimp and a crab. Make sure you limit your light time. I had my lights on for six to eight hours a day at the most and that helped control the algae. Not much room in there so make sure your rock is not close to the glass because you will be cleaning it regularly. Very cool if kept up on.

Yes I definately want to get some hermit crabs to clean up any potential algae. I have 3 snails right now. I want to get rid of my damsels and get a clown

What did you run for a power head

I did not run a power head but only had some zoa in there and they did really well. I had two clowns, peppermint shrimp, emerald crab and a small cuc. I put in a small dwarf angle for a month but he was prob too big for it. I think two clowns is perfect for it. I think you don't need much for a power head, the return pump alone creates good flow even at the bottom. My zoa was at the bottom and you could really tell they were getting good flow. These are just my thoughts prob not real scientific. I would see about a nano skimmer next time I set it up even though I heard they don't work well but I think some of the newer ones are a lot better.

Do I need to run a powerhead along with the stock return pump? I was thinking a maxi jet 600
