My bad Adam. I became confused, sorry, between LifeReef and Reef Dynamics. It was Reef Dynamics that closed down. I had the LifeReef before my present RD skimmer on our 180. LifeReef has good service at least while I was with him:9) Let us know how that skimmer works for the tank!

 

So i want to share a couple of pics from 9 months ago and today. Only been using aqua craft with good success.

Here is big blue tang 8.5 years old and little blue three months old. Also if you look in the back middle of the one you can see my mandarin goby ready to explode lol.

That's the same skimmer I have for my 400g (except Jeff accidentally built mine 76" tall). I have a Reeflo Hammerhead pushing mine and have been thinking about trying something that's less of an energy hog. Did you modify the mazzei injector at all? I've heard that if you remove the little ball inside of the check valve it significantly increases the amount of air pulled in. However, I'm not sure if there are any adverse consequences so I've been hesitant to try it myself.

 

I'll have to look at it and try it. That skimmer pulls some nasty crap. The algae that i grow really took a hit amen i hook that skimmer up.
