Well if it works it works.   I just got another cooperband butterfly.  Its been in the tank for almost 2 hours now.  When they first saw each other they danced, but didn't seem like they were going to fight.  After 45 min. they didn't care about each other, then came together.  Got next to each other, flaired fins and moved on.  Not sure how its going to work out but that is this hobby.
The best was puting 2 dozen guppies in the tank

in you tank with as many places to hide. They should be able to find there own place. Most likely they will fight once in a while, but hopefully it doesn't get bad enough to kill one. Good luck with them.

Money lost. Well this morning the new one was dead. Went to bed everything was fine. Got up found the new one dead under rocks. Never had anything fight to the death in less then 9 hours. But I have had new fish die for no reason in shorter time.

For those that did not like my plan I ask you, what you have done in this hobby that has not been recommended?????????????????????

I have never quarantined anything, but will most likely start doing so now that I have more to lose than ever!

I'm pretty sure all of us have done something against our better judgement a time or two.

For me it's usually the impluse purchase, then I get it home and realize I really don't have as good a place for it as I thought.  Quarantine is a close second.
