Metal Halide Fixture

Since I have had no luck on 24in T5 we will see what a anyone has for a Metal Halide fixture.  I do not want to spend a ton because I will most likely be going to LEDs withing a couple months or so. 

 

i got a 150w halide with a reef optix 3 reflector. its got a 10k random bulb in it, but definatley needs changed

 

How much Chris. Is it a hanging fixture or what is it? Ballast and everything good.

 

yeah ballast and everything is good, its a hanging fixture. i bought the reflector new and the ballast used. looking at round 100. i tried it on the gereds old frag tank and it was just to much. using T5's on it now and working great.

 

Well its going on that cube gered had. So its about 4 inchs deeper.

 

yeah it would be fine on that cube. that cbort guy had a 250w on it

 

What would you recommend for a bulb.

 

phoenix, love the color and its a good mix for a 12k

 

seems all I can find is 14ks

 

yeah your right it is a 14k, i had one on it for a while and it was a nice blue color then went to switch reflectors and broke the ceramic on it
