Media Bag Broke....

    I now have chemi pure elite and purigen all over in the back chamber of my biocube. Not the easiest place to reach. Anyone have this happen before? I'm about tempted to stick a shop vac hose back there but that seems dangerous.... My syphon hose isn't strong enough. Other ideas would be appreciated.

    turkey baster with the end cut bigger?

    If you make the end of the syphon smaller the velocity will increase and you might get some more "reach" as long as you don't make the opening too small so the carbon blocks it. So if you have the typical setup with the one larger end try removing the larger end if possible. You could also making the hose intake smaller by using a ball point pen shell.

    Thanks to you both for the ideas. I will give the turkey baster idea a try.

    I may give the syphon hose idea a try too if I can get it going. There is very little space in the back chamber to get the syphon started, and I don't really want to suck on the end and get a mouth full of saltwater. Ewwww
