LT nem question wierd

was watching my tank today and saw little eggs floating around all over the tank a clear to pasty white color and didnt know where they came from until now my LT nem is shooting them out of his mouth do they ushually spawn like this or do they just split?

 

I've was never aware of it until now but evidently it does happen.
Was it anything like this?

I had a sea urchin do this every time I did a water change.
