I'm looking to switch from a compact florescent to a LED reef capable light. 36 g corner bowfront tank which is my problem. I havn't been able to find any lights that are designed specifically for a corner bowfront. Also wondering where and what brand to buy that isn't gonna break the bank. Anyone have a good solution, info would be greatly appreciated.

I would recommend reef breeders for SPS corals but I have a kessil 150w on my 29g and the soft & lps coral I have in there really like it. Plus kessil's are a bit cheaper but not as well rounded as the reef breeders would be.

I bought 3 of these a few months ago and have been happy. I preferred the T5 Blue plus actinics over the blues leds, when whites and blues are on I prefer the leds, my corals have been happy. It is my understanding that evergrow makes the reefbreeder leds. The ones I got have an aluminum heatsink as well.

They are 2 channel dimmable, but lack the ability of being controlled by an external controller. So you can have your blue and white pop on at different times, but no gradual ramp up.

Mine were from a guy named Bo Wang if these are from Bo, they are the same ones.

I'm sure AI or Radions are better, but these are 1/3 the price.

I'm trying to figure out if I would need one or two lights for my tank if I was to go with Kessil's or the Par 38 bulb from reef breeders. Just wondering if either would cause a spotlight effect?

I'm running 3 A360's Kessils on a 135 6'x18"x24" and it looks incredible.. Lights are 6" off the top of the water

from the feedback that I've recieved, I've decided to go with Kessil's for lights. But I do have another question, what does everyone think is the best color or mix? I was thinking the deep ocean blue or the sky ocean. With the size of my tank I'll only need one, so I want to get the best all around one I can get, and honestly I don't know much about lighting yet

I would look at the maxspect razors also. 120 or 160 watt full spectrum in one fixture.

Very slim you almost don't know it's there, and come with tank mount and hanging kit

The larger of the Kessil's is adjustable; however, I also prefer the 15k ocean blue 150w for a stand alone light.
