Iowa city aquatics stores

We are looking to make a drive out to Iowa city today. This is our first trip to The iowa city area to look for new corals and/or fish.What ( and where) are some good ones to visit?

 

Coralville bay is about the only LFS in IC other then Petsmart..Sea of marvels is located in North liberty.

 

What do you think about coralville bay?

 

I was not impressed.

 

If you have the time and depending where you are I say got to either AC&C in Waterloo or Aquatic Enviroments in Devenport. Both have great selections. AC&C has better corals in my opinion plus its just a way cool place. Check the hours AC&C is open though can't remember but thought craig changed the hours or days open for summer.Sea of Marvels is hit or miss when Hung wants to open usually 1 or 2 but it depends on his maintenance schedule I think. Coralville bay , well it depends on what you are looking for. Ed is a nice guy always has been to me. A tad pricey at times . Knows more about fresh than salt I think. But not much in stock right now. 

 

We love aquatic environments, it's our LFS we use. We live in moline. Looks like we may take a trip to Waterloo instead /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/smile.gif thanks!

Sea of Marvels is a decent store, but IMO it's kind of a shadow of it's former self... /DesktopModules/ActiveForums/themes/_default//emoticons/sad.gif

Still worth checking out though. He's got some nice fish and the sharks are cool.
