His clown is trying to host his Duncan. I don't know if it will or not. I would be concerned that a clownfish will continue to agitate it to a point where it is never open. But, I honestly can't say.

I would repost with different subject title. To me it looked like someone trying to sell clownfish. I didn't bother reading it since I am not in the market for clownfish.

Most people dont read every post, just the ones that the subject title catches their interest.

These are the types of things that nobody knows for sure. You might get by with it, and you might not. Every fish is different. I'd say that if you have started with trouble with your duncan, that you will probably continue to have trouble. If it doesn't kill it, and it doesn't open very much, you probably won't be happy with that. Is there a reason you don't want another BTA? If things were working out with that arrangement, I'd go back to it.

They may kill your Duncan, or they may not. If it was me I would not want them hosting my Duncan. I've had a pair of occ. clowns host a toadstool leather, they did no damage to the coral, in fact the coral seemed to like the attention, but after time they started pushing the rock it was attached to all over the tank, creating a sandstorm. I moved the toadstool to the other end of the tank away from the clowns. If they flipped my Duncan over, it could kill it, and maroons are much larger and more aggressive than oc clowns.

Like others have said it could go either way, however I doubt they will kill it. My bta died a month ago and guess where my maroons moved? My duncan. At first the duncan was not happy about it, but now it seems fine. It may even like it, as they now provide food to the duncan. Just watch your duncan, it will give you plenty of warning if its hurting. If it does not stay closed for days on end, it is fine.
