Just wanted to confirm that it is the slim-skim not the nano-skim. I'm going to change the skimmer on the Red Sea Max and am debating between the Hydor nano-skim and the Tunze 9002

    Hydor makes 2 nano skinners:

    1) The nano-slim skinner: Footprint is 12" High, 3 1/8" Square

    2) The slim-skin skinner: Footprint is 17 5/8" High, 4x4 1/2" Square

The nano-slim skinner would fit in my Red Sea Max 130D, but not the slim-skin skinner

It is the 12 inch high skimmer. which is the nano slim skim skimmer. The other on is refered to as the slim skim without the nano name attached because it can be used on a tank up to 65 gallon which the ''NANO'' is rated for tanks up to 35 gallons.

The reason I was confused is that the link above took me to the slim skim, not the Nano slim skim. I think the one you've got then is at this link:

Too bad you weren't closer to Des Moines so I could see it in action. I'm looking for a replacement skimmer for my bio-cube. Need one that's ultra quiet.
