Herman

    Today my friend Herman passed away. We met about 30 years ago when I was a manager at his local convenience store. We became friends through both of our favorite things... cars and fish. We both went from freshwater to saltwater to getting out of the hobby and building a truck together. Then we both migrated back into the saltwater hobby and we went chasing fish and coral and equipment all over the country. Herman was a member here on GIRS and made quite a few friends here in the community. While I stuck with the salt Herman went back to freshwater. Although he left the saltwater he still creeped on the site without posting just to keep his interests and see what people were still doing.

    So sorry to hear of his passing. I never met Herman but remember when he was active on the site.

    Damn, that's too bad. I didn't know him as well as you, but I had the pleasure of meeting him and talking with him several times. Had a hell of a nice reef tank at one point and Always had some project on his tank he was screwing with and bitching about something not working right lol. He did really enjoy the hobby and the club when he was into saltwater. No doubt about that.

    I met Herman several times, really nice guy. Sorry to hear of his passing.
