Bought new reef octo today, even turned all the way down, it is foaming up and filling a cup about every 3 hours?

 

Is outlet above water?

 

What's the water depth it sits in and what model reef octopus ?

 

10" classic 150

 

Raise it to 7" so the outlet is above the water line

 

If you need something to raise it on you can cut some pvc to 3" lengths, drill a few hols to zip tie them together and you have a cheap platform.

 

Yup. Raising skimmer to factory recommended water depth. That should work
