Setting up and planning my new 60 Gal rimless and my sump is well...not that big jsut enough room for my skimmer and thats about it in the main area the water level is said by the sticker on the side to be about 6 inchs, so my question is this....since I can't lay my heater in the sump can I hang it in the built in overflow nad have it function correctly?

As long as it is always fully submerged it should work fine.
